Can you quilt large or small items?
Yes! Doreen is a custom quilter and is happy to tackle projects of any size.
If I want you to quilt my top, what criteria needs to be met?
1. Your quilt top needs to be completed with no holes and it should be ironed? (Starch or Best Press is fine)
2. Do you want me to supply the batting or will you?
3. Batting and backing need to be at least 4 inches extra all the way around the quilt. (Batting (if cotton) and backing should be ironed)
4. Once we are done with the quilting, it will need to be trimmed. Will you trim your own quilt, or will you want us to do it?
5. After trimming it's ready for binding. Are you going bind it or for a charge we will bind it.
What is your personal style?
My personal style is non-traditional and it seems people really like the patterns we choose. That style is taking on a big role. People are testing out colors and stepping into their fun place with color.
What types of quilting services do you offer?
I offer several quilting services, including quilting on your quilt top, creating a quilt from start to finish, and selling smaller quilted pieces I've made.
What kind of projects are best suited for each quilting service?
If you've already created the top layer of your quilt., then quilting would be the next step. If you want a complete quilt but don't have the time or skills to make it yourself, we can create one from start to finish. My smaller quilted pieces are perfect for gifts or adding a touch of handmade charm to your home.
Can you describe the process for ordering a custom quilt?
